About My Approach

Welcome to Grace C Counselling, a person-centred therapy service where I walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, explore what’s been holding you back, and uncover your own strengths and potential. I offer a compassionate, client-focused space where your unique experiences are valued and respected. Sessions are offered either online or by phone, so you can engage in therapy from wherever feels most comfortable for you.

What is Person-Centered Counselling?

​

Person-Centered Therapy, developed by psychologist Carl Rogers, is built on three core principles: empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. This approach honours you as the expert of your own life, with the belief in each person’s potential for growth. In practice, this means I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, speak freely, and explore your thoughts and feelings without pressure.

This is a non-directive approach, so there’s no set agenda or flow. You bring what’s going on for you in the moment, and together we explore it. The heart of this therapy is the relationship itself: real, authentic connection is what facilitates growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Together, we'll work to uncover your inner strength, rewrite old narratives, and learn to embrace the authentic version of yourself.
